Driving after Derby Day is Dangerous

Sunday after all of the excitement of the Kentucky Derby should be a bit calmer, unless of course, you end up having a motor vehicle accident.  Just ask Kelcy Jenkins whose car got hit in a parking lot.  The driver of took off after damaging Jenkin’s vehicle.

Kayleigh Gillis was involved in a  collision, with Jeffery Rice  after Rice “came out of nowhere and crashed into her” she said.  Rice advised the responding officer that he had just left the gym after he drank one beer and smoked a joint.   He ended up at Baptist hospital feeling faint.

Pooling rainwater on the interstate also caused a headache for motorists as drivers lost control.

A  tire blowout caused Fred Fishback to lose control of his vehicle on I64 causing the vehicle to hit a construction barrel, then support beams of the I265 overpass.

Motorcyclist  Randall Redden didn’t have the best day either when he was rear-ended by a hit and run motorist.  He was transported to University of Louisville Hospital for apparent injuries to his arm and leg and complaining of neck pain.

Be careful out there!
