Driver Strikes Pedestrian at Crosswalk

Ms. Pennie Walton failed to yield the right of way for a pedestrian Monday morning. Mary Petz was struck by the sedan. The victim was taken via ambulance to Norton/Korsair Hospital. No further information was available.

An alleged drunk driver crashed into a mailbox Saturday. The driver attempted to flee scene before being arrested.

2 Pedestrians Struck by Car on Bardstown Rd

Ashley Slaughter was traveling northbound on Bardstown Rd. early Friday night when she made a left turn on to Eastern Parkway striking Lucas and Madison Chamberlain. They were taken via ambulance to U of L hospital. There condition was not known. Both reside in Nashville TN.

JCPS Bus MVA With 14 Students On Board

Friday afternoon a JCPS bus rear ended a work truck that was stopped at a crosswalk. Traffic guard on duty states bus was traveling too fast for school zone. No injuries reported on scene.

Senior Citizen Struck by Hit and Run Driver

Juan Rodriguez was struck and killed by a hit and run vehicle late Friday night. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No evidence was located on scene to identify make or model. There was no witnesses to the collision.

Cyclist Struck by Hit and Run Driver

Richard Lay was struck by a hit and run driver Monday afternoon. He was taken to St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital via ambulance. A witness reported the vehicle as a late model Chevy Malibu. The condition of the victim is not known at this.
